Velti, a UK-based mobile marketing and advertising company, needed a reliable real-time messaging service with low latency and high throughput to support interactive mobile campaigns for its customers. The company also wanted flexibility for different billing models and messaging types, including SMS and MMS, and turned to Ericsson IPX and messaging services to help meet those requirements.

Ericsson implemented a simple, single-connection solution with IPX connectivity, messaging, and billing support integrated into Velti’s mGage platform, enabling cross-carrier delivery and quick rollout. As a result, Velti was able to deliver engaging mobile campaigns with improved customer relationships and new revenue streams, and Ericsson was delivering around 2.5 million SMS messages per month for Velti’s UK clients.
