Telefonica, Ecuador draws on Ericsson’s expertise to maintain network quality

TeliaSonera Denmark, a major telecommunications provider in Denmark, needed to future-proof its microwave backhaul network as mobile and MVNO traffic surged tenfold and the company prepared to deliver IP services. Working with Ericsson, the operator looked for a more scalable, cost-effective alternative to its existing MINI-LINK E network.

Ericsson implemented an upgrade to MINI-LINK TN, replacing mainly the indoor unit while reusing much of the existing infrastructure. The new solution delivered a quick and efficient migration with higher capacity, Ethernet capabilities, lower space and cabling needs, and better scalability, helping TeliaSonera Denmark support rapid traffic growth and reduce total cost of ownership.
