Case Study: Saudi Telecom achieves faster service innovation and new revenue streams with Ericsson Service Delivery Platform

A Ericsson Case Study

Preview of the Saudi Telecom Case Study

Saudi Telecom’s Service Delivery Platform creates new ways to provide value-added services and to partner with new players

Saudi Telecom (STC), a leading telecom operator in Saudi Arabia, faced intensifying competition from new players and over-the-top services while aiming to improve its user experience and simplify service delivery. Ericsson helped STC address this challenge with a Service Delivery Platform that supported a single service layer strategy, monetized third-party services, and enabled faster delivery of value-added offerings.

Ericsson implemented an end-to-end Service Delivery Platform spanning BSS and service layer domains, along with professional services including systems integration and managed services. The results included a more seamless customer experience, more than 70% fewer customer complaints, over 6,000 services launched, and a projected solution value of SAR 500 million per year after full transformation.
