Gameloft expands its global sales reach with Internet Payment eXchange

Gameloft, a leading international mobile game publisher and developer, wanted to expand direct game sales into new markets such as Germany and the USA and needed a payments aggregator with global reach. Ericsson, through its Internet Payment eXchange (IPX) service, was selected to support this growth with WAP, Web, SMS, and messaging-based payment capabilities.

Ericsson implemented IPX Payment clearing services, Premium SMS, SMS shortcodes, and bulk messaging so Gameloft could sell games through mobile browsers, its website, and text messages, while also using subscriber information to personalize offers and support subscription services. The solution gave Gameloft extensive global reach through a single aggregator, local support and market knowledge, and competitive payout rates, helping it expand its distribution network across more than 70 countries and improve the user experience that drives sales.
