A Ericsson Case Study
Claro, Honduras, a subsidiary of América Móvil, needed to improve mobile network quality and speed up fault resolution as Honduras’s telecom market was poised for rapid growth. To support this challenge, Ericsson provided its Network Management offering, helping Claro better optimize existing assets and network management resources while building a more efficient operations model.
Ericsson implemented a phased, multivendor Network Management solution centered on OSS-RC, starting with consolidated fault management and a common alarm view, followed by trouble management improvements and knowledge transfer. The result was a more efficient use of resources, reduced repair time, better alignment with eTOM-based processes, and improved network quality, while maximizing prior investments in OSS-RC.
