Case Study: CenturyLink achieves faster service delivery with Ericsson Service Innovation Framework

A Ericsson Case Study

Preview of the CenturyLink Case Study

CenturyLink improves time-to-market and speeds service delivery with the Ericsson Service Innovation Framework

CenturyLink, one of the largest telecommunications companies in the United States, needed to modernize its legacy back-office environment to better support enterprise customers and speed the delivery of IP-based services. To overcome technology silos created by acquisitions and an old telco stack, CenturyLink turned to Ericsson and its Service Innovation Framework to enable faster product development, more flexible service delivery, and readiness for SDN/NFV.

Ericsson implemented a unified, catalog-driven OSS/BSS solution with standards-based APIs, automated provisioning, activation, and problem resolution, plus implementation and consulting services. The result was greatly reduced time-to-market for new services, faster and more accurate provisioning of complex offerings, lower IT costs, better returns on network investments, and improved market perception through a better customer experience.
