A Ericsson Case Study
Ericsson worked with Asiacell in Iraq, a mobile operator facing the challenge of improving user perception, reducing customer churn, and modernizing its network across a wide geographic area with difficult terrain, weather, and cultural diversity.
Ericsson provided a turnkey project covering network design and planning, deployment and maintenance, and RAN modernization and swap. The result was reduced customer churn, a significant increase in the 3G subscriber base, better use of investment through cost-efficient resource allocation, and lower OPEX thanks to improved power efficiency and a reduced carbon footprint.
