Woodland Group Limited, a global transportation and logistics provider, needed to replace an end-of-life Citrix environment and aging servers to maintain fast, reliable IT for customer service while cutting costs and simplifying desktop deployments across its multi‑location business. Ericom Software’s PowerTerm WebConnect was installed on new HP Blade servers (with Woodland completing the implementation after Ericom training) to deliver 12 Windows and UNIX applications to about 60 users, providing 24/7 availability, fewer support calls and much faster application deployment. The switch greatly simplified desktop management across the global business and reduced software licensing costs to roughly one‑third the projected Citrix expense, delivering measurable savings and improved application reliability.
