Ultra Building Products, a Northern Ireland manufacturer and distributor, faced inefficient mobile working and sales order processes: sales reps faxed orders from home, duplicated data entry, delayed production input, payroll bottlenecks, limited access to time‑critical information and unnecessary travel. To address these challenges the company deployed Ericom Software’s PowerTerm WebConnect RemoteView (including the MyPCView feature) to give remote, secure access to office systems.

Ericom Software implemented PowerTerm WebConnect and equipped sales reps with laptops so they could enter orders directly from the field and directors could remotely view CCTV and core systems. The result: orders appear immediately in the production system (improving production planning and stock management), duplication and errors were reduced, payroll is produced accurately each week, sales reps spend less time in the office and more with customers, and travel costs/time were cut—delivering clear productivity gains and cost savings.
