The King's School Grantham, a state grammar school in Grantham, needed to equip four new computer rooms while reducing the total cost of IT ownership and simplifying management for a small IT team. To meet these goals and remain as green as possible, the school chose Ericom Software’s PowerTerm WebConnect RemoteView to deliver applications to thin clients.

Ericom Software, working via partner Northarbour, deployed PowerTerm WebConnect RemoteView to 120 thin clients across four rooms (later expanded to 152), with the system up and running in about four hours. The centralized solution improved security and ease of management, saved an estimated 300 watts per desktop per hour and roughly £7,500 a year in power and cooling, delivered return on investment within one year, and now supports up to 1,100 potential users as the school plans broader rollout.
