Sahara Force India Formula One Team Uses Ericom Connect to Drive Race Car Improvements On–The–Go

Sahara Force India, a Formula One™ racing team, needed to streamline the interpretation and assembly of redesigned parts at the track by enabling engineers to access and edit large 3D CAD models away from the factory without bulky workstations. To solve slow, latency-prone remote CAD access that sometimes required waiting up to twenty minutes for renders, the team turned to Ericom Software and its Ericom Connect solution.

Ericom Software implemented Ericom Connect to provide secure, browser-based remote 3D rendering and editing, delivering near-zero latency and a desktop-like experience from any device and track location. The result was faster design, manufacture, and delivery of parts to the track, quicker part fitment and modification on-site, elimination of lengthy remote render waits, and expansion of remote access to eight additional applications (ERP, purchasing, parts management).
