Osaki Computer Engineering Co., Ltd. (OCE) needed a way to dramatically improve endpoint security for customers across local government, education and healthcare while still allowing users to access mission‑critical web applications. OCE deployed Ericom Shield as a cloud‑hosted secure browsing service: all browser‑executable source code runs remotely, only a safe interactive media stream reaches endpoints, attachments are cleansed via integrated CDR without changing file formats, and no on‑premises equipment or endpoint installation is required. With Ericom Software’s solution, OCE can block web‑borne threats while maintaining user access to necessary sites, became the first Japanese company to deliver Ericom Shield as a service, and has used the offering to differentiate itself, gain customer trust and win new business.
