Intcomex, a premier Latin American IT distributor with about 1,300 employees across 18 locations in 13 countries, needed to centralize and simplify access to its Unix-based Sentai Inventory Management ERP so users could get secure local and remote access without a costly Citrix connection farm. To meet this need, Intcomex selected Ericom Software’s PowerTerm WebConnect as a web-based, centrally managed terminal access solution.

Ericom Software deployed PowerTerm WebConnect quickly (rollout in days) and integrated it with Intcomex’s intranet, adding remote desktop support for faster troubleshooting. The solution now supports 500 users across six distribution centers and can scale to 2,500 users on a single server—replacing the previous seven/eight connection servers—reducing hardware and maintenance costs, improving stability, and boosting IT support efficiency and user productivity.
