Ericom AccessNow Improves Paperlessness and Efficiency for Japanese Financial Operations Company

JR East Japan Management Service Co., Ltd. (JEMS), the financial operations arm of the JR East Group, faced heavy paper use in meetings (typically ~10 pages per attendee for 20 participants), under‑utilized G Suite, and a need to give affiliate and remote workers flexible access to Windows‑based financial applications. To address these challenges JEMS selected Ericom Software and its Ericom AccessNow solution.

Ericom Software deployed Ericom AccessNow (including its connection broker) to deliver Windows desktops and Microsoft Office inside the Chrome browser on Chromebooks, installing the solution on an existing server in under a month. The rollout put 20 Chromebooks at headquarters and 10 at the group management office, enabled paperless meetings and reliable editing of Office files without conversion crashes, boosted G Suite collaboration, broadened IT usage across employees, and supported training and remote access — with a major meeting‑workflow shift realized within five months and reduced implementation costs thanks to the fast, low‑overhead Ericom Software deployment.
