The Wunsiedel District sought to digitally enhance its Fichtelgebirge region for both locals and tourists, aiming to provide tailored information and strengthen the local economy. The challenge was to intuitively bundle a vast portfolio of tourist data, events, and community offerings into a single application without creating a mere digital showcase. They partnered with Ergosign GmbH to develop a mobile app solution.

Ergosign GmbH developed the FichtelApp using Flutter and Strapi, creating a cross-platform application with intuitive operation, animations, and an accessibility mode. The solution included features like a Highlight Radar and a Day Planner to help users discover points of interest and plan their visits. The collaboration resulted in over 20,000 downloads, successfully creating a vibrant platform that connects users with the entire region.
