A Equinix Case Study
Wilson Sons, one of Brazil’s largest port, maritime and logistics operators founded in 1837, needed a highly available, 24x7 IT infrastructure to support 27 locations and complex operations. Recurring problems with their on‑premises data center were pulling IT staff away from strategic work, so after evaluating colocation vendors they selected Equinix — with the primary challenge of migrating a critical production environment without impacting performance or operations.
Equinix hosted Wilson Sons’ production environment in colocation cabinets with cross‑connects and broad carrier access (dozens of networks/ISPs), supported by a specialized Equinix team. The migration moved more than 111 servers in just three days with no incidents, delivering higher availability, faster and higher‑quality services, direct connections to partners, and freed Wilson Sons’ IT team to focus on business and geographic expansion.
