Panasonic Information Systems boosts database with multicloud connectivity

Panasonic Information Systems, the Panasonic Group’s IT services arm, wanted to expand its database managed services beyond internal operations and needed secure, high-speed connectivity across multiple clouds while meeting Oracle certification requirements. To support its Oracle Exadata Managed Services, Panasonic IS turned to Equinix for cloud connectivity and data center infrastructure.

Equinix helped Panasonic IS build a multicloud network hub in Equinix’s Tokyo data center using Equinix Fabric, with direct low-latency links to AWS, Microsoft Azure, and other clouds. With Equinix Precision Time, Managed Servers, and Managed Solutions, Panasonic IS improved synchronization, reduced setup complexity, and sped up network activation; the company launched Oracle Exadata Managed Services in 2024 and now supports 25 Exadata systems and more than 2,000 databases, with Equinix also planned for future disaster recovery.
