Case Study: flydubai achieves a scalable, low-latency global booking platform and improved passenger experience with Equinix

A Equinix Case Study

Preview of the Flydubai Case Study

Optimizing Airline Passenger Experience With Interconnection

flydubai, a Dubai-based carrier serving more than 90 destinations and carrying millions of passengers since 2009, needed to modernize its IT to support rapid growth, improve customer-facing digital services and connect reliably to other airlines and cloud providers. The airline’s challenge was to build a global, agile infrastructure that reduced latency, ensured uptime for online bookings and allowed efficient scaling as demand increased.

To address this, flydubai deployed its global booking platform on Platform Equinix® in the Equinix Dubai (DX1) IBX, creating a digital edge close to customers, clouds and networks. The interconnection-based solution delivered redundant multilocation resilience, lower latency and on‑demand scale, enabling faster, more reliable digital services and seamless connections to cloud and carrier partners.
