Olympus boosts collaboration by integrating global IT and public clouds

Olympus, the global endoscopy leader, needed a faster, more flexible, and globally integrated IT platform to support digital transformation, research and development, and better governance. To do this, Olympus turned to Equinix, using Equinix Fabric and Equinix data centers to replace disparate on-premises systems and connect securely to public clouds.

Equinix implemented a scalable, network-neutral infrastructure that connects Olympus to cloud providers like AWS and Microsoft Azure while improving stability for high-performance servers. The result was smoother collaboration across departments, stronger business continuity, and better HPC performance; Olympus also accelerated its IT transformation with 16 racks of high-performance servers hosted in Equinix’s Tokyo data center.
