Case Study: Easybook achieves 30-40% cloud cost savings and zero downtime with Equinix

A Equinix Case Study

Preview of the Easybook Case Study

Easybook cuts cloud costs by up to 40% while delivering an outstanding user experience

Easybook, Southeast Asia’s largest online transportation ticketing platform with over 5 million tickets sold, needed to control rapidly rising public-cloud costs while maintaining an always-on, high-performance user experience as it expanded into new markets and B2B services. Its pure public-cloud infrastructure was becoming costly and constrained, yet the company still required secure connectivity to Microsoft Azure for core applications.

Working with Equinix and partner InfoFabrica, Easybook migrated most operational workloads into an Equinix Performance Hub in an IBX data center and used ExpressRoute and Equinix Cloud Exchange (ECX) Fabric to connect privately to Azure and other cloud providers. The hybrid solution, deployed in under three months with zero downtime, cut cloud subscription costs by 30–40%, improved performance and scalability, and gave Easybook greater control and flexibility to expand and onboard new partners.
