ChinaCache, China’s leading provider of Internet content and application delivery services, needed to scale its CDN and hosting offerings to support rapid domestic and international traffic growth and to serve multinational customers entering or expanding in China. The company faced the challenge of delivering content quickly and reliably across global markets while keeping network costs under control as demand surged.

By colocating in 12 Equinix data centers across three continents and peering through the Equinix Internet Exchange, ChinaCache reduced average latency to under 25 milliseconds, accelerated international deployments, and replaced costlier leased lines with direct connections. The deployment expanded its global reach, improved end‑user experience, lowered transit costs and supported strong business growth—average revenue growth of about 42% from 2010–2012.
