Box is a global secure content-sharing platform that outgrew its original single-site hosting and needed a top-tier, network-dense data center partner to deliver lower latency, higher throughput and reliable, scalable infrastructure for enterprise customers worldwide.

Working with Equinix’s Platform Equinix and its global IBX footprint, Box built the Box Accelerator network by placing nodes in key markets (San Jose, Chicago, Ashburn, Amsterdam, Sydney, Hong Kong, Tokyo) and using Equinix tools to optimize latency. The deployment delivered a 60% improvement in application response times, was independently measured as 2.7× faster than the nearest global competitor, and gave Box consistent performance, rapid secure deployments, greater proximity to customers and easier carrier connectivity.
