A Equinix Case Study
ASICS EMEA, the regional arm of the global athletic-apparel maker ASICS, was operating from two on‑premises data centers in the Netherlands while supporting 21 sales offices, two warehouses and 97 stores. Facing a planned data‑center move and a broader digital transformation, the division needed greater flexibility, mobility and resilience to distribute services closer to customers and free IT to focus on innovation.
MatrixMind implemented a two‑phase migration onto Equinix’s Platform Equinix (AM5 and AM3), using a 10G metro connect and Equinix Cloud Exchange Fabric to establish low‑latency, secure, direct links to Microsoft Azure, plus redundant AWS backup instances for disaster recovery. The move reduced reliance on the public internet, improved security and performance, and shifted the IT team from maintenance to innovation and vendor management, enabling ASICS EMEA to scale services more flexibly across global ecosystems.
