Arvato Systems (arvato-systems.com), an international IT provider serving industries such as retail, media, healthcare and utilities, faced escalating distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks that strained its data center and security architecture. The company needed scalable mitigation to protect both internal systems and external customers and to ensure only “clean traffic” reached its networks.

Arvato deployed the Link11 Cloud Security Platform (Link11.com) on Platform Equinix (Equinix.com), creating a geo-redundant multicloud setup across Equinix IBX sites and connecting via Equinix Fabric to offload and AI-filter traffic. The solution routed about 90% of incoming traffic through Link11, doubled internet bandwidth capacity, eliminated DDoS-related outages (reducing customer service calls by roughly 90%), restored system capacity, and accelerated cloud provisioning by up to 70%.
