A large New York–based legal services firm spun out of its corporate parent to commercialize data analytics, integration and reporting services and needed to build a completely separate IT infrastructure from scratch on an aggressive timetable. With a goal of minimizing on‑premises footprint and no internal cloud expertise, the firm engaged Equinix Professional Services for Cloud (EPS Cloud) to rapidly become a cloud‑enabled organization that met its strict business requirements.

EPS Cloud recommended and implemented an AWS‑based virtual private cloud across two availability zones, installed on‑site network and connectivity (stacked switches, clustered firewalls, secure Wi‑Fi, dual ISPs and redundant VPNs), migrated core services (Active Directory, databases, file transfer), deployed Office 365, and provided 24/7 support during the transition. The solution delivered faster time-to-market, lower total cost of ownership, improved availability and business continuity, a minimal office footprint, and easy scalability to support growth.
