A national credit card provider faced razor‑thin margins and needed to improve the profitability of its customer acquisition campaigns by better targeting active consumers who were more likely to respond to offers, open accounts and spend more. They partnered with Equifax, using Advanced Decisioning Attributes augmented with Equifax Dimensions™ — trended consumer credit data designed to reveal behavioral trends — to more precisely identify high‑value prospects and boost marketing ROI.
Using a champion/challenger test across four models (Response; Response + Spend; Open New Bankcard; Response + Open New Bankcard), the Equifax Dimensions augmentation produced lift in every category — including an 18% incremental lift in the Response model and up to 13% in combined response/open models (other lifts: Response+Spend 9%, Open New Bankcard 4%). The result was better segmentation and prioritization, lower marketing costs, higher credit limit optimization, and improved campaign profitability.
