3 Case Studies
A Equator Case Study
Egmond Associates Ltd. (EAL) is an engineering firm specializing in slope stability, environmental, geotechnical, hydrogeological, and hydrological assessments. Its project managers needed accurate topographic data and cross sections for slope stability reviews, but finding reliable information from multiple contour and historical map sources was time consuming, and sometimes required field measurement and manual profile creation.
Using Equator, EAL gained access to high-resolution LiDAR topographic data, including contours and cross sections, through an easy-to-use 3D mapping environment and line drawing tool. Equator helped the team turn slope profiles around much faster, reducing work that previously took 2–4 hours to about 30 minutes, while also improving the quality of visual deliverables and supporting more accurate slope stability assessments.
