University of New South Wales achieves operational excellence goals with Eptura solutions

The University of New South Wales faced fragmented facilities management across 222 buildings and 7.75M+ sq ft, relying on spreadsheets, multiple standalone systems, unclear responsibilities and weak processes. To modernize operations and consolidate data, the University engaged Eptura to deploy its Archibus integrated workplace management system (IWMS).

Eptura’s Archibus replaced Excel with a centralized online platform—integrating with PeopleSoft, mobile apps and modules for space, asset and project management—and introduced custom workflows and web-based work requests. The implementation recovered $500,000 in reactive maintenance costs, cut annual space audits to two weeks, enabled handling of 25,000 reactive and 54,000 preventive work orders (combined billing ~$11M), tracked 46,500 assets (~$250M replacement value), grew capital projects managed to $284M, and reduced manually logged service calls from 53% to 26%.
