Case Study: UCHealth achieves centralized facility data and rapid reporting for smarter portfolio management with Eptura (Archibus)

A Eptura Case Study

Preview of the UCHealth Case Study

How UCHealth maintains facility efficiency, reduces costs, and ensures employee satisfaction through unified design and operations data

UCHealth, a healthcare system with 12 hospitals (including University of Colorado Hospital), nearly 27,000 clinical staff, and a growing network of clinics, faced scattered facility data across multiple servers and time‑consuming, error‑prone spreadsheet processes for CMS reporting, space management, and moves. To centralize and standardize data, UCHealth moved from AutoCAD to Autodesk Revit and paired Revit with Archibus (Archibus by Eptura) to bridge BIM and facilities management gaps.

Eptura implemented Archibus Space Inventory, Occupancy and the Smart Client Extension for Revit to link Revit’s object‑level BIM data with enterprise databases (supported by an Archibus Solution Center script that auto‑calculates data). The integration cut reporting turnaround dramatically—reports that once took a full day in CAD or one to two hours in Revit can now be formatted in five to ten minutes—improved CMS reporting accuracy and data archiving, enabled ongoing occupancy tracking and move planning (including a 650,000 sq ft new tower), and helped identify consolidation opportunities to reduce real estate costs.
