Case Study: Wuhan University achieves unified space data and streamlined reporting with Eptura's Archibus solution

How a university simplified and organized the management of a massive campus

Wuhan University, one of China’s top universities with 55,000 students and nearly 1,000 buildings, faced difficulty consolidating space and facilities data after merging four institutions. To replace paper and scattered CAD drawings and standardize room and space information, the university selected Eptura’s Archibus Web-based Space Inventory & Performance and Service Desk applications.

Eptura implemented a six-month roll-out of Archibus Web Central, including Overlay with Design Management for AutoCAD & Revit and migration of CorelDRAW plans into AutoCAD, to create a single, accessible space data repository. The solution centralized drawings and room data, standardized room categories and the Space Standard Area (SSA) for chargebacks, enabled fixed-format reporting (iReport) to the Ministry of Education, and captured data for 960 of 991 buildings—delivering more accurate chargebacks and streamlined compliance reporting.
