Case Study: Bank of Montreal (BMO) achieves unified workspace planning and a single source of truth with Eptura

BMO’s journey to streamline worktech for enhanced productivity and reduced costs

Bank of Montreal (BMO) needed to unify worktech and occupancy data after acquiring Bank of the West, integrating more than 4,500 employees across 50 US office locations where drawings, processes and technology differed. To ensure consistency for reporting, occupancy planning and move management, BMO partnered with Eptura and extended its Serraview platform to standardize drawings and align methodologies across the combined portfolio.

BMO leveraged Eptura to consolidate and update 160 floorplans—covering 1.3 million sq. ft. and 5,000 total workpoints—into Serraview, using space planning, occupancy, moves and insights features. Led by Eptura’s project management team, the migration created a single source of truth, eliminated multiple systems and manual processes, and optimized workspace utilization to support data-driven decisions.
