The customer, Walmart, needed to centralize and standardize its process for calculating title service fees across multiple states. Their previous method of distributing various Excel spreadsheets via email or a network share was inefficient and made it difficult to ensure staff were using the most current versions. They partnered with vendor Epoch Online to create an online fee estimator based on their existing Excel models.

Epoch Online developed a solution using Microsoft Excel and Spreadsheet Gear to host the spreadsheets on Walmart's website and create dynamic, HTML-based forms for data entry. This allowed administrators to easily update formulas and deploy new versions. The vendor's solution centralized the fee estimation process, ensuring all locations used the current version and providing a more user-friendly way for staff to calculate and print fee estimates.
