Main Line Health turned to ePlus when it needed to add a secondary data center for both short- and long-term disaster recovery planning. ePlus implemented a secondary data center solution using Cisco Nexus switching, HP racks/enclosures/blades, VMware vSphere licensing, and Emerson Network Power power and rack infrastructure, supported by ePlus Professional Services for design, planning, installation, and integration. The result was improved patient safety, documented disaster recovery procedures, full redundancy and faster failover, better availability for patient-critical systems, and a more flexible, scalable environment to support future satellite medical facilities.
