University of the Arts London (UAL), the largest arts university in Europe, needed a better way to manage its informal on-site recruitment process for student temporary work. The university’s ArtsTemps service had to coordinate communications across students, hiring managers, HR, Payroll and Finance, while also meeting strict public-sector procurement and internal administration requirements, so it chose Eploy’s web-based recruitment software.

Eploy implemented a customized online “one-stop” recruitment and timesheet system that let students register, be skill-matched and shortlisted automatically, receive text and email updates, and submit timesheets online. Eploy also added a hiring manager portal, approval workflows, automated alerts and custom reporting, helping UAL centralize communications and reduce administration. In the first six months after going live, the service supported more than 250 temporary student positions and improved access, efficiency and satisfaction across the university.
