Ecotricity, the UK renewable energy company, was growing quickly but its recruitment process was fragmented, agency-led, and managed through spreadsheets with no ATS, careers site, or central talent strategy. This created high costs, slow response times, poor candidate quality, and complaints, while making it difficult for managers and the People team to run hiring efficiently.

Eploy implemented a full e-recruitment journey, including an ATS, automated applications and onboarding, standard job templates, a new careers site, reporting dashboards, and a direct sourcing model. The results were strong: agency use fell from 85% of hires to 14% in five months, referrals reached 10%, complaints dropped to almost zero, and Ecotricity reported improved candidate quality, faster hiring, reduced churn by about 5% per month, reduced absence by 2% per month, and a 20% improvement in training completion.
