Wesleyan's Digital Transformation Begins with a Next Generation Intranet

Wesleyan, a UK financial services firm with around 1,300 office and home-based staff, needed to modernise its intranet to support digital transformation, improve internal communications and collaboration, and break down departmental silos. Although built on Episerver CMS, the intranet faced publishing bottlenecks, limited cross‑department sharing, inconsistent brand implementation and poor searchability, all of which hindered knowledge access and the company’s growth strategy.

CDS implemented a next‑generation intranet on Episerver by adding workflow to decentralise content creation and approval, piloting blogs and forums after a discovery phase, enhancing search, and aligning the site with the refreshed brand. The changes empowered teams to publish their own content, removed approval bottlenecks, improved governance and findability, increased knowledge sharing and staff engagement, and enabled faster, better customer service.
