VMS, the Netherlands’ national patient safety agency, needed a better way to engage health professionals to share experience and best practice online. Their bespoke CMS was slow and hard to manage, and they required an accessible, community-enabled site that could be launched quickly and within budget.

Working with Lightmaker, VMS implemented Episerver Relate — a single CMS platform with built-in community features, single sign-on and planned EventX/Mail integrations — providing seamless user workflows and accessibility compliance. The new site drove strong engagement: visitors rose 300% over 10 months (127% during the switchover month) and pages viewed increased 185%, all while keeping costs manageable.
