Svenska Turistföreningen (STF), Sweden’s leading nature and cultural tourism non-profit, needed a website that would serve as the organization’s communications hub and a vital part of its business. The challenge was to publish and make searchable more than 10,000 pages of destination, accommodation and activity content—including contributions from 300,000 members—while supporting 500+ editors, integrating legacy systems, and giving visitors intuitive ways to discover Sweden.
The solution combined Episerver CMS with strategic integrations (Miranda legacy system, online bookings and Active Directory), Google Maps, advanced filters and user-generated content surfaced through the same search tools. Editor-friendly plug-ins, role-based access and streamlined edit-mode features reduced central administration; the result is a scalable, information-rich site where content and member tips grow continuously and the web has become the center for customer engagement and business development.
