Suunto is a Finnish maker of sports and outdoor instruments—best known for dive computers and performance-measuring products—with a history approaching 80 years. As digital experience became central to its global business (products sold in 100+ countries), Suunto needed a redesigned, multilingual website that marketing teams could update quickly and a close technical partner; after a tender process they began working with Episerver in 2009.
Suunto built suunto.com on Episerver CMS, giving its digital marketing team easy, independent control and multilingual capabilities, and added a Sports section with expert-led content across seven sports. The site’s improved content, navigation, functionality and design earned it the European Digital Communication Awards website prize and strengthened engagement with the Suunto community.
