The RSPB, the UK’s largest nature conservation charity, wanted to broaden its public image from a champion of birds to a champion of wildlife more broadly and to engage its existing million-plus supporters plus a new generation of online donors. To do this it needed a rebuilt digital presence that could cope with increased traffic, simplify complex membership journeys, and create a community-driven experience around its "Give Nature a Home" campaign.
Zone implemented a responsive Episerver CMS site with streamlined four-step membership sign-up, personalised content (Episerver Find + Google API), social aggregation (Stackla), payment processing (Authorize.Net) and multimedia support. Since launch in April 2015 the site delivered a 23% lift in membership conversions, a 42% increase in page views for the Give Nature content and an 11% rise in visits from the 25–34 age group, demonstrating stronger engagement and donor growth.
