New website with integrated HD Movies

Valtech was engaged by the Swedish National Maritime Museums (SMM) to build the first of three new museum websites, addressing the need to improve cross-collection search, handle a large media archive, and enhance user communication for the Vasa Museum, Maritime Museum and central maritime portal.

Valtech implemented the site on Episerver CMS using modern HTML, ImageVault for image management, integrated HD movies, and performance optimizations (CSSEmbed, YUI Compressor). The project was delivered with Agile methods, quality assured through usability testing, and supports XML syndication—resulting in a media-rich, high-performance site (marinmuseum.se) that delivers comprehensive content and improved search and user interaction.
