Lincoln University hooks students with new classy site

Lincoln University, New Zealand’s specialist agricultural university with about 4,000 students, faced a looming deadline to replace an aging, unsupported CMS that could no longer deliver the interactive, up-to-date web experience prospective and current students expect. With only three months to act, the university needed a flexible platform that would integrate with its wider IT plans and support the full breadth of university information—from courses and enrolment to staff profiles and scholarships.

Implemented by Intergen, Episerver CMS integrated with SharePoint and Microsoft Search Server provided a structured, single-source content environment and editor-friendly tools. The new setup enabled distributed content ownership, single-action updates across the site, improved search and the potential for smart registration workflows, resulting in more current, relevant content, stronger student engagement across the lifecycle and a more professional online “hook” for prospective students.
