The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) was operating three separate internal and external websites on different, dated platforms and needed a single, robust global platform that could handle massive spikes in traffic and simplify content management.

Working with LBi, IFRC implemented a common Episerver CMS and Episerver Relate platform for all sites, creating a high‑performance solution that launched two weeks before the 2011 Japan tsunami and sustained up to 20× traffic during the crisis. The shared platform helped save lives by maintaining performance under extreme load and now makes it easy to update content and share functionality across internal and external sites.
