GolfBreaks.com, established in 1998, is Europe’s leading golf travel company offering holidays at over 2,000 venues worldwide. Facing a shift from brochure-led sales to a digital-first market, the company needed a modern, personalised website that simplified booking, made deals and reviews easy to find, improved mobile experience and search, and ultimately grew market share and conversions.
Working with August Media and Episerver CMS, GolfBreaks.com launched a content-rich portal featuring an intuitive search and “inspiration” navigation, videos, imagery, peer reviews, a Members’ Area and personalised campaigns/A–B testing. The relaunch delivered rapid results: web traffic +30%, organic search +27%, mobile visits +139%, on-site conversion +14%, gross profits +41% and about £6m additional revenue in the first six months, alongside a market‑share rise to roughly 56%.
