Lindblad Expeditions, a New York–based expedition travel company partnered with National Geographic, runs marine-focused programs that inspire exploration and promote conservation and sustainable tourism. Facing a crowded travel market, they needed a modern, flexible and easy-to-use website that would showcase expedition imagery and deliver a compelling digital experience.
They moved from a closed-source system to the developer-friendly Episerver platform, gaining an open API, extensibility and plans to integrate email and booking systems for a 360° customer view. Since launch the site has become a fully immersive experience, with bounce rates down, average session duration up, and content editors praising how quickly and easily they can use the new CMS.
