B2B manufacturer Midtronics puts customer experience first with transformation of stationary power site

Midtronics, a Willowbrook, Illinois–based B2B manufacturer of battery management technologies, faced a usability and maintenance challenge: their Stationary Power Division’s website was built on an open-source platform that required coding for most edits, leaving a small Creative Services team unable to update content quickly and forcing reliance on developers. With 75% of the site non-editable by non-coders, the team needed a more user-friendly, supported CMS to improve efficiency and customer experience.

They migrated to the Episerver Digital Experience Cloud and, in 2015, relaunched a redesigned, responsive site with simplified navigation, content-first messaging, an always-visible “Request a Quote” function, blog and video-enhanced FAQ, and personalized portals—built with local partners WSOL and Orbit Media Studios. The redesign boosted engagement and conversions: requests for quotes rose 50%, mobile visits grew 71%, bounce rate fell 22%, and page views per visit increased 42%, while average visit duration and inbound marketing performance also improved.
