A Episerver Case Study
KeyMusic, a Belgian‑Dutch musical instrument retailer formed by merging three legacy brands, needed to modernize outdated in‑house websites and create a true omnichannel experience that links the tactile in‑store buying process with the convenience of online commerce. The challenge was to consolidate brands and inventory, improve site performance and navigation, and enable targeted content and marketing while preserving the role of physical stores for high‑touch purchases.
Working with Arlanet, KeyMusic implemented Episerver Commerce and CMS, integrated CRM and Copernica for personalized email automation, and built features like store‑pickup, SMS notifications, outlet automation and marketplace feeds. The new site is faster and better structured, runs weekly agile releases, and supports themed content and promotions; metrics show bounce rate fell from 60% to 40%, average session length is about 4.5 minutes across 4.85 pages, and the site now attracts roughly 450,000 visits per month.
