The client, a large AmLaw 100 law firm, faced challenges in managing its extensive collection of 800 Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs). These critical documents were not centralized or digitized, creating risks for client relationships and causing inefficiencies and potential errors in the billing cycle. The firm engaged Epiq and its Legal Transformation Solutions group to address this issue.

Epiq collaborated with the firm to define and centralize key obligations from the OCGs into a searchable database, which was integrated into the firm's Intapp Terms platform. This solution, completed in under 60 days, streamlined processes and significantly reduced billing errors and invoice rejections. As a result of this successful engagement, Epiq was subsequently tasked with a similar review of over 12,000 engagement letters for the firm.
