Plano Molding, an injection-molding manufacturer with facilities in Mendota and Sandwich, Illinois, faced the challenge of replacing a paper-and-pencil shop-floor data collection process across 41 production lines. The company needed a manufacturing execution system to automate data capture, monitor machine performance, and drive continuous improvement.

Plano implemented Epicor Mattec MES to capture real-time machine and operator data, visualize OEE, scrap, uptime/downtime, and cycle times, and support scheduling.
