North Coast Electric, a family-owned electrical distributor based in Seattle with 34 locations across the Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Arizona, needed to replace a 20-year legacy system and augment its new Epicor Eclipse ERP with robust reporting and analytics. Because North Coast is highly report-driven and Eclipse uses MultiValue data structures that are not easily transparent, the company required a solution that could deliver timely, actionable information without reinventing in-house reporting.

North Coast implemented Epicor Eclipse alongside MITS Distributor Analytics (MITS Discover and MITS Report), deploying analytics-ready “hypercubes” on a separate server with daily synchronization. The solution, rolled out in 2008 for roughly 350 users, delivers fast daily updates, self-service reporting and dashboards, and moved 90% of reporting off the Eclipse server—saving hours of work, freeing IT for complex tasks, and improving cost control and operational insight.
